New College Based Academic Fee Initiative
Over the next few weeks the new Cal Poly College Based Academic Fee Initiative will be presented to all students through a number of ways. CBF Student Engagement Plan
The following meetings have been scheduled for students to discuss Cal Poly CBF Student Engagement Plan:
- Wednesday, January 25, 6:10pm: Presentation to CBF Committee members by Dean Jones.
- Wednesday, February 12, 6:10pm (21-122A): Open CBF meeting for student questions.
- Thursday, February 19, 9:10am (52-E29) and 9:40 am (52-E29): Presentations in ARCE 225, by Department Head and CBF representatives.
- Friday, February 20, 11:10 am (21-122A): Town Hall Meeting with Dean Jones.
- Monday, February 23, 12:10pm (21-122E): Presentations in ARCE 452by Department Head and CBF representatives.
- Monday, February 23, 2:40pm (05-226) and 3:10pm (26-304): Presentations in ARCE 306 by Department Head and CBF officers.
- Wednesday, February 25 , 6:10pm (21-122A): Open CBF Meeting for student questions.
What are College Based Fees?
The College Based Fee is money that is assessed with your tuition, but reserved for spending by your department. In the fall of 2002, students in the college voted in a $200 per quarter fee which is allocated to exclusively support the degree programs, faculty, staff, and students in individual departments. The allocation of these funds is guided by a College Based Fee board and based on a consultative process between deans, faculty, and students within their respective college.
